Aston Villa and Bournemouth have reportedly made initial enquiries over Fiorentina striker Albert Gudmundsson as both clubs assess attacking options ahead of the summer transfer market.
According to reports from La Nazione, via Fiorentina Uno, the Premier League clubs have taken early steps to gather information on the 29-year-old’s availability.

The report suggests there is growing interest in the Iceland international from clubs outside Italy, with Premier League sides currently among the most attentive.
Aston Villa and Bournemouth are understood to have contacted intermediaries in recent hours, although neither club has progressed beyond preliminary discussions at this stage.
Interest is also emerging domestically in Italy. Atalanta are believed to admire the forward, while Juventus continue to monitor developments surrounding his future.
No official valuation has been revealed by Fiorentina, although Transfermarkt currently places his market value at around €12m.
However, Fiorentina are unlikely to consider a sale at that figure after investing around €16m to sign him last summer and securing him on a contract running until 2029.
Gudmundsson produced ten goals and six assists in 46 appearances across all competitions last season, meaning the Italian club would likely seek to recover at least their original outlay.
