Prince William has once again shown his well-known support for Aston Villa after a light-hearted moment at Royal Ascot with a fellow supporter of the club.

The future King attended the event alongside Princess Kate, where a brief exchange with spectators quickly went viral on social media.

The moment, shared on Instagram by Kings Guard Tours, showed the royal couple travelling in a carriage during the Royal Procession on the second day of Royal Ascot. As they passed through the crowds, football chatter broke out among onlookers, leading to an unexpected but warm interaction with the Prince.

The clip has drawn attention for William’s relaxed and approachable response, reinforcing his reputation for engaging naturally with members of the public.

This is not the first time he has made headlines for similar interactions. Just weeks earlier, he was praised for another friendly exchange with a fan in the street.

In the Royal Ascot footage, a supporter can be heard shouting “up the Villa”, prompting an immediate reaction from the Prince, who laughed and responded: “I think people are saying that now. Are you?”

After the fan confirmed their support, William raised his hand in acknowledgment and added: “Good season.”

The video has since gained hundreds of thousands of views online and comes shortly after another exchange between the Prince and the Claret and Blue podcast team also went viral.
