Aston Villa Ace Eyed for £30m Move by Premier League Rivals

BirminghamLive reports that Nottingham Forest have made Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey a top summer transfer target, as interest from around the Premier League grows.

With key players leaving Forest—most notably Anthony Elanga to Newcastle—and uncertainty surrounding Morgan Gibbs-White after Tottenham triggered his £60m release clause, Forest are eager to bolster their squad ahead of a potential Europa League campaign. The club is reportedly unhappy with Spurs’ approach and has lodged a complaint with the Premier League.

Amid these developments, The Telegraph reports that Forest have long admired Ramsey and see him as a good fit for Nuno Espirito Santo’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, especially in a more advanced role.

The 24-year-old, a product of Villa’s academy, has made 167 appearances for the club and played 29 league games last season, frequently on the left flank.

Villa could consider a sale, particularly as Ramsey would count as pure profit under Financial Fair Play rules due to his homegrown status. Everton and West Ham are also said to be monitoring the situation, with a valuation of over £30m regularly mentioned.

Should Villa consider selling Ramsey this summer?
