Aston Villa have revealed ambitious plans to transform the area surrounding Villa Park in a £200 million redevelopment project designed to boost both the club’s financial future and fan experience.
At the heart of the proposal is The Warehouse, a massive multi-purpose venue that will serve as the Premier League’s largest beer hall on matchdays. Outside of football fixtures, it will operate as a 3,500-capacity entertainment venue, hosting concerts, community events, and more. This dual-purpose setup is expected to generate an estimated £3 million annually, which will support the club’s financial sustainability and help meet Profit and Sustainability Regulation (PSR) requirements.
The plan also includes an expanded fan plaza in the North Stand area, connecting Villa Park directly to The Warehouse and an upgraded club shop. The aim is to create a vibrant, year-round destination that enhances the matchday atmosphere and provides a gathering space for supporters, families, and visitors.
Crucially, improvements to local infrastructure are part of the strategy, with enhancements to Witton Station and surrounding transport links set to handle increased footfall and make attending matches more convenient.
This project represents more than just a facelift — it’s a long-term investment in the club’s growth and the local community. Villa are not only focused on their success on the pitch but also determined to turn Villa Park into a world-class venue that brings lasting benefits to Birmingham and its residents.
