Aston Villa team confirmed for Nottingham Forest clash as Unai Emery makes eight changes

Unai Emery has selected his Aston Villa side to face Nottingham Forest in tonight’s 5:30pm Premier League fixture.

The Villa boss has made eight changes to the lineup that defeated Brighton 3-0 at the Amex Stadium last time out.
Only Emiliano Martinez, Youri Tielemans, and Morgan Rogers retain their places in the starting XI.

Martinez remains in goal, with a backline consisting of Andres Garcia, Axel Disasi, Tyrone Mings, and Ian Maatsen.
Amadou Onana joins Tielemans in midfield, while Donyell Malen and Rogers take up wide roles.
Marco Asensio starts in the number 10 spot, playing behind striker Ollie Watkins.

Villa are unbeaten in their last eight home league matches against Forest, having not lost to them at Villa Park since a 2-0 defeat in October 1994, when Stuart Pearce and Steve Stone scored.

Forest claimed a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture in December and are aiming to secure their first league double over Villa since the 1984-85 season.
Villa, meanwhile, are on a six-game winning streak in all competitions — their best run since 2019, and the first time they’ve done so in the top flight since 2009.

Aston Villa starting XI: Martinez, Garcia, Disasi, Mings, Maatsen, Onana, Tielemans, Malen, Rogers, Asensio, Watkins.
Subs: Olsen, Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne, McGinn, Kamara, Rashford, Ramsey.
Nottingham Forest XI: Sels, Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Morato, Anderson, Dominguez, Yates, Elanga, Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White.
