Aston Villa Injury Update: Key Players on the Road to Recovery

Aston Villa has faced significant injury setbacks in recent seasons, affecting key players and squad depth. One of the biggest blows was Boubacar Kamara, who suffered a serious knee injury in February 2024, ruling him out for the rest of the season. The midfielder has since worked his way back to fitness, returning to action in October 2024, first with the U21s before rejoining the senior squad.

Tyrone Mings also endured a long-term knee injury, which kept him sidelined for over a year after an incident in August 2023. After months of recovery, the experienced defender made his competitive comeback in October 2024, easing back into the first team following an initial stint with the U21s.

Meanwhile, Jacob Ramsey struggled with multiple setbacks, including a hamstring injury and subsequent foot issues that kept him out for much of the 2023-24 season. However, the talented midfielder regained fitness ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, taking part in pre-season tours before reclaiming his role in the squad.

These injuries have undoubtedly tested Villa’s squad depth and ambitions, but with key players returning, the team is hopeful of a stronger, more consistent run in the season ahead.
